Is it free?
Creating a profile, being verified, and seeing every one of your matches is free, permanently. A membership unlocks contact details and messaging. There is no trial that expires and no feature that quietly stops working.
Can someone find our profile on Google?
No. Nothing on this site is visible to anyone who is not signed in — not a name, not a photograph, not a count of members. Search engines cannot reach any of it.
How long before a profile goes live?
Usually within a day. Someone in the Ambawadi office reads it first — checking the sect, the community and the photographs. Until it is approved you will not appear in anyone’s search, and you cannot browse other profiles either.
Can I hide my profile for a while?
Yes. Privacy and settings has a switch that keeps you out of search and matches while a proposal is being discussed, without deleting anything. People you have already spoken to still see you.
Do you match horoscopes?
We record the details — birth time, place, rashi, nakshatra, manglik status — and you can require a horoscope match in your preferences. We do not do the matching itself; your family’s astrologer does, as they always have.
Who can see my daughter's photographs?
Whoever she decides, and nobody else. Signed-out visitors are never among them — no photograph on this site is reachable without an account, ever.
By default her photographs are open to members who have completed a profile of their own. Families told us the stricter setting was quietly costing them: nobody can consider a person they cannot see. If she would rather be seen only by people whose interest she has accepted, or be asked each time, both settings are there and cost nothing.
Chat is the part that always needs her agreement. So does her phone number. No membership overrides either — a paid member sees the photographs of people who chose to show them, and not one photograph more.
Who creates the profile — the boy or girl, or the family?
Either. The first question the form asks is who the profile is for, because parents and elder siblings create most of them, and every screen after that is worded accordingly.
What happens when an interest is accepted?
Messaging opens between the two of you, and whatever the other family chose to open — photographs, contact details — opens at that point. Nothing is shared before an acceptance.
What if someone behaves badly?
Block them, and to them your profile will look as though it does not exist. They are never told. Then report it — we read every report, and we remove people.
We were members of the old site. Do we have to start again?
No. Existing members are being brought across with their profiles and remaining membership intact. If anything is missing when you sign in, ring the office and we will fix it that day.
Still have doubts? We are here to help you.
Someone in the office will take you through any question you have, in your own language.
